Have you ever been working on a site, then inexplicably get a 404 error.  And now you can't connect to the website you were just on?

This may help.

A client called late one night and said, "What is wrong with the server?  I'm getting a 404 error - Apache doesn't have the website, but it is comming soon."

Here is something to try to resolve the problem.

Can you get to the site from a different network connection?

Go to an anonymous browsing site.  Yes they have legitimate purposes.

Try: http://the-cloak.com

If you can get to the site from another network connect, then the problem is in the route from your PC to the server's location.  A call to your internet provider should do the trick.

Give them your IP address and the destination IP address.
