Although Letterman is a simple but VERY useful component, creating a good newsletter template using tables is a real pain.

I seems when creating a table (using JCE) the column widths bounce (width varies) all over in a seeminly random way.  Once you start adding content in a table data, the width changes.

To fix the width of a template you'll have to edit the HTML (ugg) and set the width of each table data style.

Below HTML tag start char are " [  ]  " not the correct  " <  > " 

In each [td] [/td] tag

[td td style="width: 305px" valign="top" ]

Where you have to specifiy the width option in every [td] in a column.

Here is an example of a 2x4 Column Newsletter with the Left Column with a orange-ish backgoround .
